After being closed for nearly 1.5 years, The Eagle Amsterdam will open its doors again, with the ambition of a new team and management to revive the gay fetish scene in Amsterdam.
After the closing of The Eagle and Dirty Dicks (due to Paul Wierks’ untimely death at the end of 2010), and the closing of the Cockring 6 month’s prior, the
Warmoesstraat, and Amsterdam as a whole, had lost its claim as Gay Capitol.
Fortunately, most of the bars have since opened again and the strong fetish heart beats wildly again.
With the Eagle Amsterdam re-opening on 18 of April 2012, it is surely going to be a hot summer.
Michael Roks – General Manager - has succeeded in bringing popular events to The Eagle. The first big special event is going to take place during FULL FETISH Weekend Amsterdam, which will be held during Ascension Day Weekend, from 17-20 May – in collaboration with Recon and sponsored by Mr B.
The widely known music of The Eagle, with its dark and underground style also returns as DJ Roberto Varano from London will be spinning live during special events at The Eagle.
The Eagle underwent extensive renovations with noticeable improved changes, but still keeping the atmosphere and characteristics from the past.
Besides the big events, there will also be a weekly CODE NIGHT every Thursday - a very interesting party for every gay man.
Eagle will again be a bar where you can go to 7 days a week. Its doors are open 22:00-04:00 during the week, with Fridays and Saturdays from 22:00-05:00.
